SURFACES

This is an Instagram series mainly focused on the exterior facades found in urban environments. Patches of paint, red brick and textured stucco walls, chain-linked fences, entrances, city foliage, shadows and rays of light. These and many more elements are the definition of what makes these surfaces captivating and characteristic.

The mind is attracted to simplistic features in design. Something that conveys clear intention quickly and without second thought. We look at them everyday. Passing these designs and colors like stranger at the mall, only taking a glance. Ignored and unrecognized. Stepping back to breath and take notice of immediate surroundings can stimulate the mind to find beauty and structure almost anywhere.
